India is set to be the third largest market for the global online retailer’s “Ikeas for cars” service in 2018, with the online retailer set to launch in the country in October, according to reports.
The company will offer a variety of cars, including a new “mini” SUV and a small car for sale, with both priced between Rs 2 lakh and Rs 6 lakh, said reports.
The company is targeting India’s large car market and is looking to add to its already strong inventory of vehicles in the market.
It has already launched a “mini SUV” and a “small car” in India, and it will also be launching a range of new cars in 2019, the report added.
Ikeal, which has over 1,000 stores across the world, has more than 15,000 online shops and over 10,000 physical stores.
The brand is valued at $2.7 billion.
